What fascinates me about gemstones are the stories or lore associated with them. Many people believe that gemstones have healing properties.  Clear quartz or rock crystal has been used in healing by Native Americans and other ancient peoples for centuries.  A few years ago, I became ill very suddenly.   Although I went to doctor after doctor, none of them could diagnose what was wrong with me, and so they told me I was either depressed or "faking".  Why anyone would want to pretend they coudn't walk is beyond me, but that was their diagnosis.

I began to wear a clear quartz crystal and pray.  I found that I felt better when I was wearing the crystal.  Eventually, I was able to drag myself to the library and read all the medical journals and holistic medicine books I could find. I was able to diagnose myself - I had Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.   There are 10 symptoms of the disease, and the only one I didn't have was depression. I have believed in the power of gemstone healing ever since.

Here are some glass cabochon tacpins. They can be used in various ways, and are great for jacket lapels. There is some glare coming off the scanner used to photograph these pieces, which may appear to be a white line, but it's just glare from the clear glass, there is no mark on the cab.
